Video Script & AI Voiceover
This service turns a brief or an existing article into a finished video: a written script, a voiceover in the language you need, and an assembled edit with visuals. It suits explainer content, product walkthroughs, training material and social video — the categories where the message matters more than the cinematography.

Key takeaways
- Synthetic voice in English and Hindi is now good enough for explainer and training content.
- Emotional and brand-defining narration still benefits from a human voice artist.
- A blog post becomes a video in days rather than the weeks a production cycle takes.
- Voice cloning requires the speaker's explicit consent — treat it as a legal requirement.
- Setup takes 4–8 weeks from ₹2,00,000, then runs per video at low cost.
What kind of video this is for
Explainer videos, product feature walkthroughs, internal training modules, FAQ videos, course content and social explainer clips. Content where a clear voice over relevant visuals does the job.
It is not for brand films, advertising with emotional intent, or anything where the production values are the message. Those need a director, a voice artist and a crew, and a synthetic voice reading a generated script will underperform against them noticeably.
The clearest wins we see are training and support content. A company with two hundred process documents and no video team can produce a genuinely useful video library in a couple of months, which was previously impossible at any sensible budget.
Where synthetic voice stands today
Quality varies considerably by language and by what the voice is being asked to do.
| Language and use | Quality | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| English explainer, neutral tone | Excellent | Use synthetic |
| Indian English, professional | Very good | Use synthetic |
| Hindi narration | Very good | Use synthetic |
| Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu | Good | Usable, review carefully |
| Emotional or dramatic delivery | Weak | Use a voice artist |
| Brand voice for advertising | Adequate but generic | Use a voice artist |
| Technical content with jargon | Good with pronunciation dictionary | Use synthetic |
Scripting for the ear, not the page
The most common failure is feeding an article straight into a voice engine. Written prose read aloud sounds wrong — sentences run too long, structures that work visually confuse when heard, and there is no rhythm.
A video script needs short sentences, one idea per sentence, explicit signposting between sections, and repetition that would look redundant in text but is necessary when the listener cannot re-read.
The pipeline rewrites for speech rather than converting. It also produces the visual direction alongside — what should be on screen for each line — because a voiceover over unrelated stock footage is worse than no video.
Assembling the actual video
The voiceover is one layer. A finished video needs visuals timed to it, and there are three routes depending on content type.
Screen recording works for software walkthroughs and is the easiest — record once, script around it. Slide and motion-graphic assembly suits explainer and training content, generated from the script's structure with your brand template applied. Stock and generated footage suits general marketing content but needs careful selection, since generic footage undermines credibility faster than no footage.
For most clients the highest-value format is the least glamorous: clean motion graphics with clear typography, timed to a well-written script. It is cheap, it is consistent, and it communicates.
Getting pronunciation right
Indian names, place names, product names and technical terms are where synthetic voices break the illusion. A voice that says your company name wrong for ninety seconds is unusable.
The fix is a pronunciation dictionary built during setup — every proper noun and term your content uses, with the correct phonetic rendering. It takes a day and it is the difference between output that ships and output that gets sent back.
The dictionary lives with you and grows. New products, new client names and new terminology get added by your team, not by us.
Cost, timeline and handover
Four to eight weeks from ₹2,00,000 for the setup: voice selection or cloning, brand video template, scripting pipeline, pronunciation dictionary and assembly system.
Per video afterwards, costs are low — typically ₹200 to ₹800 for a three to five minute video including script, voice and assembly. The main ongoing cost is review time.
You receive the pipeline, the voice configuration, the templates, the pronunciation dictionary and full source. Your team produces videos without us, which is the point.
FAQ
Video Script & AI Voiceover — your questions
Can viewers tell it is a synthetic voice?
Some can, particularly on longer content where the lack of natural variation becomes noticeable. For explainer and training video most viewers either do not notice or do not mind, because they are there for the information. Where it matters is anything asking for trust or emotion — a founder's message, a customer story, brand advertising. For those, use a real voice. Being honest about this distinction is why our clients do not end up with a library of content that feels slightly off.
Can we produce the same video in several languages?
Yes, and it is one of the strongest uses of this pipeline. The script is adapted rather than translated for each language, the voiceover is generated in that language, and the visuals stay the same with localised on-screen text. A training video in English, Hindi and Marathi costs roughly the same as one plus a small increment each, against three times the cost of separate productions. Review by a native speaker per language is necessary and is the part clients most often skip.
What about video for social media?
It works, with format changes. Social video needs a hook in the first two seconds, burned-in captions because most viewing is muted, vertical framing, and much shorter scripts. The pipeline handles those as separate templates rather than reformatting a long video, which never works well. Many clients pair this with a short-form pipeline that cuts long content into social clips, which is a related but distinct service.
Do you handle the visuals or do we?
We build the template and the assembly system; the visual assets are usually a mix. Your existing brand assets, product screenshots and photography feed in, supplemented by motion graphics generated from the script structure and, where appropriate, generated or stock backgrounds. Clients with a designer get better results because the template is stronger. Clients without one get something clean and consistent, which is still a considerable improvement on nothing.
How long does one video take to produce?
Once the system is set up, a three to five minute explainer takes a couple of hours of elapsed time and perhaps thirty minutes of human attention — reviewing the script, checking the voiceover, approving the assembly. The bottleneck moves entirely to review and to deciding what videos to make, which is a much better problem than the one you started with.
